Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from, and what inspired you to become a model?
My name is Nikol Dimitrova, and I’m 19 years old. I’m originally from Burgas, and I work as a model, a profession I truly love. Modeling has always been a passion for me, and I believe this is just the beginning of a long and exciting journey in the world of fashion. One day, I dream of walking on international runways.
What are your goals in modeling, and what motivates you to keep going?
I’m about to start working abroad, which is a huge step toward fulfilling my dream. My goal is not just to be a successful model – I want to be a role model for my generation. I believe that when you have a dream, you must fight for it, no matter the difficulties or what others might say. It’s crucial to stay true to ourselves and believe in our abilities.
Can you tell us more about where you’ll be going and what you’ll be studying?
It’s still uncertain exactly where and when – the assumption is that it may be in Italy. Regarding my education, I am already studying in my hometown, Burgas. I decided to continue with programming (which I also studied in the high school I graduated from). Since I was little, I have had a great interest in innovation and technology, which are becoming an increasingly integral part of our lives.
You recently participated in modeling courses in Burgas. Can you tell us more about that experience?
Yes, this year I took part in modeling courses in Burgas. I met amazing, ambitious, and beautiful girls who share the same dream as me. Many of them turned to me for advice, and it was a real pleasure to help them and share my experiences. Their trust in me gives me confidence that I can make a difference. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to support others on their journey.
What challenges have you faced in the modeling industry, and how did you overcome them?
In this industry, I feel confident and motivated, as if I am truly in my element, because my work brings me genuine joy. Instead of viewing challenges as difficulties, I see them as steps toward personal and professional growth. They inspire me to become better, to develop, and to continue on my path toward achieving my dreams.
What message do you want to share with young people who look up to you?
I want to teach others that with determination and hard work, every effort is worth it. We must support and inspire each other. Together, I believe we can break stereotypes about models. We are smart, independent, ambitious, and confident women who create our own path!
What other profession are you pursuing alongside modeling?
Besides modeling, I’m also pursuing a future profession as a programmer. Although programming is my career path, fashion remains my passion, and I’m extremely ambitious to continue working in this field.
Who are your fashion inspirations or role models, and why?
From a young age, I have been inspired by the fashion shows I watched on television. I admired the confidence and elegance of the models and dreamed of one day being in their shoes. I looked up to women who not only showcased clothing with style but also exuded strength and uniqueness on the runway. Even today, I draw inspiration from such models because they demonstrate that fashion is not just about appearance; it is a way to express one’s personality and confidence. These examples motivate me to grow in this field and, one day, inspire the next generation in the same way.
Models who have always inspired me include Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bündchen, and Kate Moss. Naomi is an emblem of confidence and resilience on the runway, proving for years that fashion is about power and presence. Gisele Bündchen inspires me with her global success and unique style while actively working on important environmental causes. Kate Moss is a prime example of uniqueness and endurance in the industry; she breaks stereotypes and shows that individuality is the key to success. These women are not just faces of fashion; they are personalities with a message that inspire and influence generations to come.
What does a typical day look like for you as a model and a future programmer?
A typical day for me as a model and future programmer is quite dynamic and varied. My mornings often start with self-care – workouts to stay in shape and a little time for calm and motivation. Then, if I have modeling commitments, my day might include photo shoots, fittings for new clothes, or attending events. Working in the fashion industry energizes me, and I’m always looking for ways to grow, especially with my dream of reaching international runways.
How would you describe your experience participating in Miss Bulgaria? What were the most memorable moments for you?
An exciting adventure filled with many positive emotions. There, I met many charming, cool, and positive people with whom we experienced a spectacle of beauty. The concept of the competition was very thrilling – starting with the round of costumes, where we managed to go back in time and step into various exciting roles, as if we were part of ancient history.
How did you prepare for Miss Bulgaria finale? Were there any specific routines or practices that helped you feel confident?
There was no specific preparation – I went with the flow of the emotions and experiences of the competition, had fun, and gave my all. I made the most of the opportunity to be a part of Miss Bulgaria.
What was the atmosphere like among the contestants? Did you form any close friendships during the competition?
The atmosphere was very positive and calm. There were no problems or conflicts. All the girls were very beautiful, intelligent, well-mannered, and kind. We helped each other with advice, spoke freely among ourselves, encouraged one another, and everything was great. With some of them, we built friendships, we follow each other on social media, and we celebrate each other’s successes.
What qualities do you think helped you stand out during Miss Sozopol and in the Miss Bulgaria final, and how did you showcase them?
The qualities that helped me stand out at Miss Bulgaria were the same ones that I believe helped me at Miss Bulgaria Sozopol – confidence, ambition, and charm. My confidence allowed me to feel calm on stage and express myself clearly, capturing the attention of the jury. My ambition was a driving force – I actively participated in every stage of the competition and strived to give my best. My charm further enhanced the impression I made by creating a positive atmosphere around me and interacting with the other contestants, the audience, and the jury. All of these qualities together helped me feel in my element and give my all.
What tips or advice would you give to the next Miss Bulgaria Sozopol as she prepares for the Miss Bulgaria final?
The advice I would give her is to not be afraid or anxious, to believe in herself and her abilities, to radiate charm and grace because she can and she does, to fight until the end, and not to be discouraged regardless of the final result. I wish her all the best, much success, and good luck in the battle for the crown.
