Unlocking Potential: Ina’s Journey in Beauty and Art

In a world where beauty standards can often feel rigid and prescriptive, Ina stands as a refreshing advocate for authenticity and self-expression. Her journey is one of self-discovery and creativity, with a deep-seated passion for inspiring others to embrace their individuality. As an aspiring model and artist, Ina navigates the challenging landscape of Bulgaria’s beauty industry, holding firm to her beliefs about natural beauty, self-confidence, and the power of art as a medium for personal healing and empowerment.

Ina, if you were on the social media platform X, how would you describe yourself in 280 characters?

Passionate about self-discovery, creativity, and helping others. Whether painting, reading, or analyzing life’s complexities, I’m fueled by curiosity and determination. Driven by a desire to learn, create, and inspire.

What job are you doing currently?

I am an office assistant at Zarev Clinic. If I had the chance to earn enough, I’d focus solely on modeling. But it’s challenging in Bulgaria, and I don’t want to promote just anything purely for money.

How do you feel about current beauty standards, and how do they influence your personal beauty philosophy?

I feel that current beauty standards often push people toward a uniform look, which undermines the unique beauty we’re all born with. I want people to embrace their differences because that’s what makes us special. When everyone chases the same ideal, we lose our individuality.

I’m not against plastic surgery, especially if it genuinely makes someone feel more confident and happier, but I believe it should still reflect who you are, not a societal template. For me, it’s important to stay true to yourself, rather than following trends that make everyone look the same.

Personally, I choose to be all-natural. I once had lip enhancements but decided that the overly artificial look wasn’t for me. I didn’t want to radiate the sense of being fake, which is often promoted by these rigid beauty standards. Staying authentic and embracing who I am feels more empowering.

What types of photoshoots do you enjoy the most, and what styles are you most frequently chosen for?

I primarily pose for sensual and stylish photos, as they are often in high demand. I believe that these types of photos can still be elegant and tasteful, highlighting both confidence and self-expression. For me beauty comes from confidence, and it’s a form of art in its own. Often I am a model for make up, clothes brands and I participate in some tv advertisements.

Beyond modeling, what other passions drive you, and how do they influence your personal and professional life?

I don’t have so much free time this days, but when I do I like to read books and go for a walks without my phone. I really need me time, friends time and family time. Working I spend 8 hours looking in the screen or talking on the phone, so my free time is free from technology too. I love to paint and I want to go back to this side of mine. I have many projects for paintings that need to be realized.

What types of paintings do you enjoy creating, and what themes or subjects do you feel most connected to?

I love creating pencil sketches and working with oil paints and watercolor. I’m mostly inspired by nature, but I also enjoy experimenting with abstract art at times.

What are the main sources of inspiration for your artistic creations, and how do they reflect your personality and experiences?

Pain has always been one of the most powerful sources of inspiration for artistic creations. It’s an emotion that connects deeply with the human experience, often leading to some of the most profound works of art. For me, pain is a significant driving force behind my artistic expression. When I create, it’s often a way of processing intense emotions, finding release, and transforming something difficult into something meaningful. It’s as if the art itself becomes a form of therapy, a way to heal and cleanse myself from negativity by creating something beautiful from it.

For example, think of Vincent van Gogh. His painting The Starry Night is one of the most iconic pieces of art in history, created during one of the most turbulent times in his life. He painted it while staying at a mental asylum, grappling with deep emotional pain and mental health struggles. The swirling night sky filled with vivid, dramatic strokes reflects his inner turmoil, yet it’s hauntingly beautiful, capturing both his suffering and his brilliance. This is a perfect example of how pain can give birth to beauty.

In my own work, whether it’s painting or another creative form, I channel strong emotions that I feel I need to release. Creating art becomes a way to externalize those emotions, to process them, and ultimately to turn them into something positive. It’s not about running away from pain but rather confronting it and transforming it into something that not only helps me heal but might also resonate with others.

As a Bulgarian beauty, what does Miss Bulgaria represent to you

The Miss Bulgaria contest is a wonderful celebration of beauty, culture, and talent, offering a platform for young women to showcase not only their physical appearance but also their intellect, passion, and ambitions. I’m particularly happy that the contest is now in good hands, where true beauty is recognized and celebrated. One of the most positive aspects of the competition is its ability to empower women. It encourages them to step out of their comfort zones and present their best selves, whether through public speaking, showcasing their talents, or promoting personal and social causes.

What advice would you offer contestants to help them elevate their reign and make a lasting impact?

The contest also emphasizes the importance of social responsibility. Many of the participants can use the platform to raise awareness about critical issues, such as education, environmental conservation, and charitable work. This encourages the younger generation to recognize the power of using influence for good.

The contest brings a sense of unity and pride among Bulgarians, as it highlights diverse beauty and talent across the country. It’s not just a contest of looks but an acknowledgment of the multifaceted strengths of Bulgarian women and we should be proud!
